What is Reiki?
If you broke a bone or felt physically ill, you would probably see a Doctor to get medical advice or medication.
If you felt mentally unwell, you may seek support from a Psychologist or Psychiatrist, however the West for many years had missed another and just as important area of our anatomy and that’s the energy system (meridian system).
We all have energy running through our body and as we go through life, this system can get clogged up, bogged down and if left undetected, it is believed that this can then cause the manifestation of physical illness.
Reiki is a way of clearing the blockages and imbalances within our energy system.
Why Train in Reiki?
Reiki, which literally translates as ‘Universal life force energy’ is such a wonderful complimentary therapy. Reiki is gentle and non-invasive and can be administered hands on, hands off or even remotely.
This system of healing was developed by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century, however such energy healing has been going on for 1000’s of years in the Eastern World and introduced to the West in the 1900’s.
Reiki is so versatile, it can be offered to adults, children, animals, even plants. It can be offered as an ‘add on’ to traditional medical interventions or used as a stand alone therapy, supporting anyone feeling stressed, anxious or just out of sorts.
I train in Usui Shiki Ryoho and Usui Tibetan Reiki.
How Does Reiki Work?
A Reiki Practitioner is attuned to a certain frequency and when they give Reiki, they emit electro-magnetic or bio-magnetic energy from their hands onto the Client. This energy has been identified as being the optimum frequency for stimulating the healing process,
whether that’s into the energy system or physical parts of the body such as bones and tissue.
Reiki has been referred to as an intelligent form of healing, as the energy will flow wherever it needs to go. Reiki is perfect as a complimentary therapy for anyone going through mainstream medical treatments, as well as those in remission.
Many Clients use Reiki as a form of preventative medicine, especially for stress, anxiety and overall wellbeing.
Reiki Level 1 Training
Beginners - First Degree Reiki
What you will learn:

The fundamentals of Reiki, from the history of it, along with basic anatomy, Reiki symbols, accelerated spiritual growth and receive your initiation and first Reiki attunement.

The benefits of Reiki

You will leave with the ability to practice Reiki on yourself, Family and Friends (even pets and plants!)

Learn the benefits of Reiki

Awareness of the energy system and Chakras

You will also have an understanding of the Three Pillars of Reiki

How to protect yourself energetically.

The hand positions for administering Reiki for both laid down and seated.

Ethics and consent.
My courses are all offered as face to face group training days (minimum of 3 students) in order to gain practical experience in a safe environment.
You will receive a Manual and Certificate for Reiki Level 1 as well as access to ongoing online support, following on from your course.
The course is 8 hours (1 day) – this maybe over 2 days for larger groups at the following address:

Reiki Level 2 Training
Practitioner - Second Degree Reiki
What you will learn:
Following on from your Reiki Level 1 (you will need level 1 before you are able to attend this training course) we will go into much more detail with regards enhancing your connection with energy as a way to heal yourself and others.

Receive a further attunement in order to enhance your level of Reiki energy, creating a much deeper, more intense connection.
